–Softball playoffs - 2nd round results - only 9 teams remain

Eight of the 14 softball games played yesterday ended in one of the teams getting blanked. 
In the 2-A, Pisgah defeated Chase and East Rutherford beat Smoky Mt, both by a 2-0 margin and Hibriten beat Owen 1-0.

RALEIGH - Realignment in 2009 will really shake things up in Western North Carolina if everything stays the same as the NCHSAA has proposed.  A lot of mountain teams will be moving to split conferences, five teams will be changing classifications
The biggest change in Buncombe County will be at Reynolds and Roberson.
