RALEIGH - Realignment in 2009 will really shake things up in Western North Carolina if everything stays the same as the NCHSAA has proposed.  A lot of mountain teams will be moving to split conferences, five teams will be changing classifications
The biggest change in Buncombe County will be at Reynolds and Roberson.

The results are in. The Spread offenses that are widespread throughout western North Carolina are putting up bigger numbers across the region, with recent games resembling defensive-minded basketball scores and less like defensive struggles on the gridiron.
