27 May 2008

CASHIERS - Nick Miles, a senior at Blue Ridge School, had two different jerseys retired last week during their annual school banquet last week.

His #20 jersey from his days on the baseball field, where he played catcher and also pitched, set several school records.  He had the most hits (114), doubles (24) and home runs (14), along with a .390 career batting average.

Miles also was on the 1-A All-Smoky Mountain Conference each year he played.

His second jersey that was retired was his goalie jersey, from his time on the xoccer team.
