–Roberson girls soccer breaks state record for most shutouts in season

GASTONIA - The 3-A Roberson Lady Rams soccer team (26-0) got their 24th shutout of the season last night in Gastonia, dispatching Forestview in the process, 5-0.  They travel to the team who held the record of 23, Charlotte Catholic (18-2-3) on Friday, their second trip to the area in three days with a start at 7:00.

In 1-A action, Polk County (17-6) defeated Hendersonville for the third time this season, winning 3-1, setting up a rematch against Bishop McGuinness who beat Polk in last years regional final.

In the 4-A, Audrey Kell stopped Reynolds for the second straight year, winning in the 75th minute, 1-0, in a defensive game.  Reynolds only attempted 3 shots, but had no shots on goal.
