–West’s Josh Moore reneges on the Navy, wants to coach high school baseball

6 May 2008

MILLS RIVER - West Henderson’s Josh Moore had signed to play baseball at the Naval Academy, but has reneged on the decision to pursue another school because of his desire to become a teacher and to coach high school baseball.

Moore made the decision to pull out of the Naval Academy because of the 5-year commitment of military service after his four years at the Academy.  He feels that with the extra five years, he dream of being a coach would have passed him by.

He has had some interest from East Carolina, Presbyterian College and UNC Asheville.
