–2008 State Games of North Carolina softball coaches announced

RALEIGH - Monte Sherrill, head softball coach at Alexander Central, has been named the West Senior All-Stars head coach for the 2008 State Games of North Carolina that will be played Thursday, June 19 through Sunday, June 22. 

Tryouts for West Seniors have been rescheduled for Sunday, May 4th at 3:00 PM at Alexander Central High School in Taylorsville.

Gene Poindexter from Central Davidson and Thad Fox of Freedom have been named assistant coaches

Participating coaches from District 8, which includes Western North Carolina are Daniel Bailey from Chase, Andy Gregg of Madison, and Ann Gardner of Tuscola.
