–Roberson’s Justin Wynn to play at Lenoir-Rhyne
1 April 2008SKYLAND - March 30 - Roberson tailback Justin Wynn, who had a school record 4,182 yards for his career, plans to join his former head coach, Mike Houston, at Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory.
Houston is in his second year as the Defensive Coordinator and Secondary Coach for the Bears under former Franklin head coach Fred Goldsmith. He was Roberson’s head coach from 2001-2005, compiling a 42-18 record, going 5-4 in the NCHSAA playoffs. In 2006 he was the Associate Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator for Brevard College in the Tornadoes’ first season playing football after a 56-year absence.
Wynn finished his senior year with 2,184 yards and 31 touchdowns, leading the Rams to the state semi-finals, losing to Charlotte Catholic, 24-7.
He will also take part in the Oasis Shriners East-West All-Star game in Greensboro on July 23.
