–Brevard’s big 5th inning sinks ACA Lions in baseball

BREVARD - March 17, 2008 - The Brevard Blue Devils used a 10-run 5th inning to blow open a close game, winning 10-2 over ACA in Brevard on Monday afternoon. 

The Lions had built a 2-0 lead with single runs in the third and fourth innings.

Brevard’s M. Mathis came in to pitch in the fifth inning and surrendered no runs, allowing just two hits and a walk, while striking out two batters.  Matt Justice took the loss for the Lions.

Freshman starter, Brad Guengerich, pitched 3 perfect innings to start the game.
