–Christ School takes down 2-time SC state champs in lacrosse
5 March 2008GREENVILLE - Friday, March 29 - Last Friday night the Christ School Lacrosse team scored the first six goals of the game and never looked back as they beat two time defending South Carolina state champion Greenville High School 12-5.
Taylor Bethea led the way offensively with six goals and two assists.
Hal Swanson scored two goals and added two assists while Clay Maxwell, Sam Redmond, Ty Baugh, and Skeet Ponder all contributed a goal each.
Jarred Lehr, Max Snider, and Charlie Jackson controlled the face-offs winning 15 out of 21.
Defensively, the Greenies were led by Billy Newton, Stokes Volatile, Cole Jones, and Brien Peterkin holding Greenville to just 19 total shots.
Brad Dunn also played well recording 7 saves.
The Greenies are back in action this Tuesday as they travel to play Hickory High School at 4:30.
