–Corliss and Falcons shock #1 Smoky Mt

MILLS RIVER - January 23, 2007 - Zach Corliss led three players with 18 points, making four 3-pointers along with the winning free throws, to knock previously undefeated Smoky Mountain off the top of the 2-A state mountain. 

Corliss gave the Falcons (8-8/2-1) the lead with two free throws with 37 seconds left, giving West their first lead of the game.  They then held the Mustangs (15-1/3-1) scoreless the rest of the game.  Buddy Hutchinson added two more free throws to take a 46-43 win.

Colton Hunt scored 18 points as the only Mustang in double figures.

West plays at North Henderson on Friday.
