–1-A Polk & 3-A Roberson girls are 5th in NCPreps.com state poll

January 2, 2007 - Both Roberson in the 3-A and Polk County in the 1-A are ranked # 5 in the first girls NCPreps.com poll of the year.  2-A Smoky Mt (last years’ 2-A state champion behind North Carolina starting point guard, Cetera DeGraffenreid) and 4-A McDowell are both ranked 8th.

Honorable mention honors go to Franklin and North Buncombe in 3-A and Reynolds in the 4-A
