–South Caldwell girls take NWC X-Country, Rockets finish 3rd
19 October 2007MORGANTON - October 17, 2007 - Led by first place winner, Tara Wilson, the South Caldwell girls edged out Watauga by 5 points to take the 2007 Northwest Conference X-Country Championship on Wednesday. Deanna Butler and Lily Clarke finished 10th and 11th respectively to lead the Reynolds girls to a third place finish.
South Caldwell actually took the top three spots. Wilson finished with a 19:04, Katelia Cooke (2nd) had a 19:24 and her sister, Adrian (19:45) came in third. Holly Annas (16th) came in at 21:39 and Kristin Queen (17th) had a 21:44 to give the Spartans their 35 points.
Butler (10th) had a 20:19 and Clarke (11th) ran a 20:35. Rounding out the top five for the Lady Rockets were Analee Kwochka (15th) with a 21:38, Emily Gothberg (19th) came in with a 22:18 and Catherine Hipps (25th) ran a 22:54 to give Reynolds it’s third place finish with 72 points.
