–ACA boys win Franklin X-Country Invite

FRANKLIN - October 4, 2007 - ACA’s Zach Barnette finished third overall leading the Lions boys team to a narrow victory over Hendersonville, 49-50, to win the Franklin Invite at Enloe Farms on Thursday afternoon.  Jake Swimmer (18:27) from Cherokee was the medalist, followed by Hayesville’s Tyler Breedlove (18:44.16).

Scoring for ACA, Barnette (18:44.99) was 3rd, Lawson McDonald (19:11) was 8th, Blake Hedrick (19:47) was 11th, Tyler Green (19:55) was 12th, and Micah Tadlock (20:06) was 15th.

Hendersonville had three runners in the top 10. They were Thomas O’Connell (18:49), who was 4th, Brian Edwards (18:50) was 5th and Carlos Uder (19:41) was 10th.

Only six of the 10 teams had scores as Swain, Smoky Mt, Cherokee and Pisgah did not have enough runners (5) to get a score.
