–ACA gets first conference win over Spartanburg Day

SWANNANOA - August 31, 2007 - The ACA Lions ran their record to 3-4 overall and 1-1 in the conference with a win over Spartanburg Day by the score of 2-1.  Stephen Carlson scored the first Lions’ goal less than two minutes into the second half off of a pass from Blake Wright.

In the 65th minute, Anthony Pelee got an unassisted goal to give ACA the 2-0 win.

The Lions out-shot Spartanburg 20-12 in the game, with ACA’s Adam Johnson getting 6 saves.  John Cannon from Spartanburg Day had 4.

ACA’s next match is Tuesday at Carolina Day at 5:30.
